Chris Brown is the Co-Founder and President of Vertex Group, a vertically integrated private equity and real estate investment firm focused on multifamily, build-to-rent, and large-scale value-add development. Deeply experienced in business operations, real estate investment, and strategic growth, Chris plays a vital leadership role in driving Vertex’s organizational performance, capital structure, and asset strategy.

 

Chris brings a diverse entrepreneurial background to the firm, with previous ventures across real estate, logistics, energy, and hospitality. As the owner of a real estate investment portfolio spanning single-family rentals, multifamily assets, industrial holdings, and mixed-use developments, he has led the acquisition, construction, and management of numerous complex real estate projects.

 

Prior to founding Vertex, Chris served as CEO of Patriot Energy Partners and Patriot Partners Leasing, where he scaled a hazardous materials logistics and brokerage firm with locations across the Midsouth and Upper Midwest before its successful exit in 2019. He continued in an advisory capacity post-sale, reflecting his long-standing reputation as a strategic operator. Chris’s leadership history also includes roles as CEO of Permian Energy LLC, EVP of Sundhagen Sand & Gravel, COO of NextGen Logistics and President of Flatlander Foods, a high-performing QSR enterprise.

 

With an unmatched ability to scale companies, structure deals, and execute across industries, Chris now dedicates his focus to building generational value through Vertex’s private equity real estate platform.

Tyler Copes is the Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Vertex Group, where he oversees the execution of large-scale development projects from entitlement through vertical construction. With more than two decades of experience in residential and multifamily construction, Tyler brings deep operational knowledge and field leadership to Vertex’s vertically integrated model.

 

Tyler began his career in the trades and rose through the ranks at Simmons Homes, where he managed the construction of more than 650 residential homes before transitioning into multifamily and commercial development. Over the past 10+ years, he has successfully led over $500 million in multifamily construction and overseen more than 1.2 million square feet of commercial development.

His hands-on experience ranges from traditional stick-built products to advanced construction techniques, including concrete tilt-up and red iron systems. Tyler’s mastery of vertical execution, construction sequencing, and value engineering allows Vertex to build with exceptional speed, quality, and cost control.

As a builder at heart with a developer’s mindset, Tyler ensures every Vertex project meets the highest standards of design, function, and long-term value creation.

Sean Davis is the Co-Founder and Chief Construction Officer of Vertex Group, where he leads the firm’s construction division and field operations across all development sites. With a career rooted in large-scale multifamily and industrial projects, Sean brings precision, speed, and innovation to the building process.

A Tulsa native, Sean entered the construction industry straight out of high school and quickly distinguished himself, contributing to more than $400 million in multifamily developments before the age of 25. He has since expanded his expertise across multiple asset types, including industrial warehouses utilizing steel framing and tilt-up concrete construction.

Sean later built a successful restoration firm focused on insurance-based work, deepening his experience in project coordination, customer service, and operational systems. He founded his own construction company before joining Vertex, where he now applies his field-first leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with excellence.

Known for his relentless drive, problem-solving mindset, and deep commitment to execution, Sean is a critical force behind Vertex’s ability to self-perform and scale its development platform.

Eli Davis is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Vertex Group, a private equity and real estate investment firm with vertically integrated infrastructure to develop, build, and manage its own projects. Specializing in high-performance multifamily, build-to-rent, and large-scale value-add investments, Vertex combines institutional capital strategy with boots-on-the-ground execution—bringing exceptional discipline to real estate development and asset management.

Eli’s core expertise lies in real estate strategy, operational leadership, and business management. With more than 17 years of experience, he has built and scaled multiple successful ventures by focusing on execution, systems, and long-term value creation. He plays a central role at Vertex in driving operational efficiency, managing investor relationships, and overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of development and investment projects.

Before co-founding Vertex Group, Eli founded a full-service real estate firm that has completed over $340 million in transactions and manages 2.4 million+ square feet of single-family and multifamily assets across Oklahoma and Texas. His entrepreneurial reach also includes an HOA/POA management company serving more than 30 communities, further solidifying his expertise in asset and community operations.
